We’re back this week with a mid-week mix down that’s heavy on the Chutney and EDM side of things. We pay tribute to the legends Sonny Mann (mega hit Loota La) and Sundar Popo. Both gone, but never forgotten on the dance floor. Raise your glasses and move your feet to the best of the best when it comes to the chutney.
We also have hits from Baauer (Harlem Shake), Don Omar (Danza Kuduro), Rihanna (Rockstar 101). Not one to forget our Soca fans, we have some big Soca tunes by Lavaman with Kerwin Du Bois, Hypasounds (big up our Bajan fans out of Barbados), and Zoelah.

Shout outs to DJ Frontline Soundz, blazing the tunes on Liberty Avenue on Friday nights. We also had a treat at Sunday service/puja at Durga Shiva Mandir with Mr. Duniya doing a duet with the lovely and talented Vaishali Sookram, winner of Emerging Voices out of Guyana (featured celebrity judge Jeffrey Iqbal). Vaishali is the cousin of Ben Parag, from the tv show Dil Hai Hindustani.
We wanna thank everyone for their patience and also apologize for our long hiatus. Lots of things happened from XXXTentacion predicting his death to Justice for Junior unfolding in The Bronx. We go from darkness to light, bringing you positive vibes and helping you keep your head up, and stay focused on the day to day grind.
Some of our highlights include meeting up with the star of Let’s Talk With Lakshmee, our very own Guyanese Oprah, promoting our beautiful and prosperous culture. She took the time out to say hello to us while we were cruising the avenue in Richmond Hill.
Also, want to send out lots of love to the Caribbean Equality Project who carried our bright and beautiful colors (Guyana Flag) in the streets of Manhattan, waving it high and proudly. Big up Romeo “Mystic” Nermal with Coolie Bai Dance, who has fans coast to coast, sea to sea. We heard you proudly and loudly on the speaker boxes in the parade in New York City.
We kick off this week’s podcast with Tommy Lee Sparta, before transitioning into some new tracks by Vybz Kartel, Sean Paul, Valentino Khan, and not forgetting the new collabo between Prostyle and international Reggae sensation Shaggy.
