Also paying homage to the late Avicii. On the Hip Hop and RnB side, we feature Nicki Minaj and Drake. Before throwing in some Soca Chutney with Prince JP. Before heading back to the dancehall side of things with some Caribbean flavor by artists like Sean Paul and Rihanna. We end this week’s podcast with a mini Konshens mix. We start off this Nor’easter influenced mix with some spicy DJ drops we’ve been working on, sprinkled over some hot new tracks to melt the snow, like Sean Paul’s new riddim Rope Riddim, on his label Dutty Rock, called Spin It. We also throw in a classic from Laden with Moet. We even got a little more creative with Bollywood’s Dream Girl. Then we take it to the Soca side with tracks by Erphaan Alves & Blaxx. This week we sampled remixes of Don Omar’s Danza Kuduro, Justin Bieber’s Baby, Duffy with Mercy, and not forgetting Katy Perry with One That Got Away. We threw in some Power Soca with Viking Thundah – Ringa Ringa Ringbang, Colin Lucas – Do The Iwer, Butterfly, Shadow, Wave, Machel Montano & Xtatik with Footsteps, More Gyal by Wanskie. Managing to crank the BPM to the max with Can’t Lose This Time by Power Generation, Pace by Travis World and Aaron Duncan, Riot by Problem Child, The General by Skinny Fabulous. This week we end on the Reggaeton tip with Krippy Kush remix by Farruko and Bad Bunny.

Also Shy Guy by Diana King (made famous by Will Smith and Martin Lawerence hit movie Bad Boys). We also include some dancehall classics like Serani’s No Games. Not forgetting samples from hit tracks like Still Dre. Keeping with the smooth jazzy vibe, we also feature hits from Ashanti featuring The Notorious B. I. G. Along with more current hits like Work by Rihanna featuring Drake. On the Soca side, we have the groovy track by Isaac Blackman – To The Ceiling. We also mixed some fresh Hip Hop hits like PnB Rock’s Unforgettable Freestyle, and J Balvin’s Unforgettable Latin Remix. On the Reggaeton/Latin side, we have Machel Montano’s newest track Mami Lo Tiene, along with One Wine which features Major Lazer and Sean Paul. On the Sean Paul tip, we have his newest track with Mavado called Sanctify, which samples 50 Cent – Candy Shop on the remix. Keeping with the dancehall vibe, we also have hits like Popcaan’s It’s Too Bad, and King Ko$a featuring Konshens and Shenseea with Best NaNa. Also, we throw in some classics from Vybz Kartel like Yuh Pum Pum V.I.P. Jamie xx with I Know There’s Gonna Be Good Times which features Hip Hop star Young Thug and Dancehall’s Popcaan. Welcome to this week’s episode of Dancehall + Soca, the Road to Carnival Edition. We start off the mix with a remix of international dancehall star Sean Paul. Continuing on the remix path, we have a reggae version of Chris Brown’s Say Goodbye, done by Kiprich. This week follows the theme of good music, featuring the smash it Delilah by Mavado. Then we head into the bass thumping, fist pumping hits like Psy’s Gangnam Style and Calabria. Not forgetting new and instant hits on the soca side with a track by Kerwin Du Bois. We also throw in some international flavor spanning across multiple genres with Kanye West & Jay Z’s Paris, Baauer’s Harlem Shake, and The Chainsmokers with #SELFIE. Then we return to the soca theme with some hot riddims like the Whistle Drums Riddim featuring Trinidad Ghost with Bubble and Dip, also Scrilla with Wood. We decided to sample some chutney, desi and house tracks for the added kick, or rather a heavy bass. Even sprinkled some heavy hitters in the Power Soca sub-genre like Machel Montano, Lyrikal, and Bunji Garlin. To sweeten things up we also have tracks by Soca sensation K Rich and KES the Band.
