Dancehall Fridays + Soca Saturdays // Hot & Spicy Edition – Podcast MiX

Just in time for Friday night liming on the avenue. We have a special treat for you from the lovely and talented Poonam Singh (Miss Global International Guyana)  with her smash hit perfectly titled “Guyana”.

For our dancehall fans, we got hits by Konshens, Vybz Kartel, and Aidonia. Also an exclusive with Richie Loop featuring Ice Prince. This is definitely a jam to watch out for, a knockout combination of Afrobeat and Dancehall.

Big up to our Chutney fans in Trinidad & Tobago, we have Ravi B’s smash hit, Start Over. This song has already reached over 100k views on YouTube. Keeping on the Chutney side of the mixing, we have a classic by Adesh Samaroo with Dosti.

On the Soca side of the podcast we have hits by Ricky T, Inches, Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, and Angela Hunte.

We decided to extend this week’s podcast with some bass thumping Trance music by W&W, Maddix, and KSHMR.

Keep it locked and stay safe while jamming to this week’s podcast. Till next week, love us, like us, and follow us.

Taste the Caribbean // Dancehall + Soca Podcast MiX

We are back again this week with some more cool mixes to keep you frosty and dry in this heatwave we have upon us this summer. First, we wanna big up everyone who enjoyed their 4th of July, and all of the neighborhood kids who had a safe and fun time with the fireworks shows in and around New York City.

Cookup, fry fish, and hot pepper sauce

To keep up with our theme of Taste the Caribbean and our appetite, we’ve decided to share a photo of what we are chowing down on while mixing in the studio. The beautiful DJ Nims whipped up some cookup, fry fish, and her own brand of hot pepper sauce.

Pepsi Cola Display in LIC

We also took some time this week to check out the LIC Food and Flea Market in Long Island City, New York. While on our way to the Macys 4th of July fireworks display. Definitely worth a trip if you can get lucky and get a good parking and avoid traffic while leaving LIC.

We kick off this week with some heavy soca by hitmakers like Bunji Garlin, Patrice Roberts, Kerwin Du Bois, Iwer George, Machel Montano & Xtatik and so much more. We even threw in some Spanish tunes for our Latino listeners, such as Daddy Yankee, and Elvis Crespo.

Coney Island, Brooklyn

Shout out to everyone having fun in the sun. As we end this week’s podcast we got a chance to check out Coney Island in Brooklyn and had the opportunity to listen to some of the Reggae and Reggaeton vibes being played on the boardwalk while we soak up the sunrays. We even had the opportunity to check out the original Nathan’s Famous and Wahlburgers of Mark Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg family.

We threw in some Bhangra at the end for our desi fans, featuring classics by Imran Khan, Panjabi MC “Beware Of The Boys”, before signing off with some heavy trance/EDM tracks by Rihanna, and much more.

Keep it locked and tuned in. Don’t forget to like us, follow us, and love us!
